Animalzone products are unique in that they are born out of a passion for animals. Developed in South Africa by Dr Deon De Beer, a specialist Avian Veterinarian with a passion and understanding of birds.
So...what`s different about these products? The foods are scientifically balanced and contain added vitamins, minerals, amino acids, anti-oxidants, spirulina and prebiotics.
Kept as natural as possible to maintain the smell, texture and taste whilst increasing digestibility this is achieved through a revolutionary process seperating the hot and cold. All the grains are first cooked to increase digestibility, then cooled and milled or rolled.
Milled grains are mixed with heat sensitive additives in a cold process and used as soft foods or pressed into a pellet. The rolled grains are used in the Parrot Muesli and Cereals.

Parrot Food Plumage Enhancer
A plumage enhancing food which improves feather growth, helps with feather plucking, less dryness of the skin and dust.
The Cynara Extract is a natural hepato modulator and is a non-hormonal product made from natural ingredients including Cynara (Artichoke) and Choline Chloride (Vitamin B4). Choline mobilizes fat and prevents excessive fat deposits in the liver, also helps with the detoxification process. The Cynara extract stimulates bile flow and production, it improves liver function and thereby also feed digestion. The prevention of liver damage due to harmful substances, like bacterial and viral toxins, improves the chance of your parrot to reach its full potential.
The Palm Fruit Extract is rich in beta-carotene and vitamin E which results in improved feather growth, decreased or stopped feather plucking, brighter colouration, less dryness of the skin and less feather dust. Palm fruit extract contains a balance of polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and saturated fatty acids. In addition palm fruit extract also contains essential substances such as linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid which the body cannot manufacture) and tocopherols and tocotrienols, which act as natural anti-oxidants against damaging free-radicals. Palm fruit extract is a major source beta-carotene (15 to 300 times more than carrots and green vegetables, which is a precursor to Vitamin A. Among the functions of vitamin A are healthy mucous membranes and skin, bone growth and reproduction. Palm fruit extract is also 100% Cholesterol Free. Easily digested palm fruit extract is absorbed and utilized for support of healthy growth, contributing towards energy reserves, thermal insulation, organ protection, and tissue membrane structure and cell metabolism. Parrot Fruit Chunks and Bits
A balanced and complete food for parrots. Dried fruits form an integral part of this food, the grains are first cooked, milled, mixed with dried fruit and shaped with a cold press. Additives such as vitamins, amino acids, spirulina anti oxidants etc are not exposed to high temperatures increasing digestibility even more than with extruded production.
The addition of the dried fruit gives the parrot Chunks and Bits a unique texture and smell and increases palatability.

Muesli
A balanced, complete diet. The roasted grains, essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, spirulina, anti oxidants and prebiotics are pressed into a pellet with a cold process preserving nutrients.
The Parakeet Muesli contains additional roasted and rolled grains, safflower seeds, dried vegetables and dried fruit sticks for a variety to form part of a balanced diet.
The Parrot Muesli contains additional roasted and rolled grains, roasted peanuts, dried vegetables and dried fruit sticks to form their balanced diet.
The Muesli must be fed dry.

Parrot Cereal
Parrot Cereal is a great way to start your birds day! This balanced diet can be fed to all birds from Lovebirds to Macaws. The soft texture is great for young and old birds alike and is fantastic for weaning youngsters.
Parrot Cereal consists of a balanced ratio of roasted soybeans, maize and peas. Pellets are added to provide all the essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, spirulina and anti-oxidants.
Add just enough luke warm water (60 degrees C) to cover the ceral and leave for approx. 10 minutes. You can add anything you want to suit your bird, fruit and vegetables, pellets etc.
Do not leave in the cage for more than 24 hours. Use in combination with Parrot Natural, Plumage Enhancer or Muesli.

Soft Food
Soft Food is a balanced wet food that can be fed to all parrot species from Lovebirds to Macaws. A balanced ratio of roasted grains and dried vegetables are ground and mixed with essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids,spirulina, anti-oxidants and probiotics. Ideal for aviaries with varieties of birds, birds with babies in the nest or birds which lack the normal functionality of their beaks or feet.
Soft Food must be mixed with water to a crumbling consistency. Feed fresh mix daily, do not leave in the cage for more than 24 hours.
Must be stored in cool, dry place.

Hand Rearing Formula
Animalzone Handrearing Food is a balanced diet to hand rear baby parrots and parakeets. This is a complete balanced diet and nothing should be added to this formula. It contains all the necessary nutrients including probiotics, spirulina and digestive enzymes.
Directions for use
Mix with lukewarm water to a yoghurt consistency. Feed either with a parrot spoon or a syringe. Be careful not to make the formula too hot, since it can cause crop burns.
